Short 'n Sweet

I made this a while ago, but I've lazy about posting it. It's the Short 'n Sweet from Happy Hooker. I think it turned out rather well, and it's even the same color as the example in the book.

Yarn- Jo Sharp DK Cotton
Color- Carmen
Size- Small
Hook- H

I would probably do the medium if I did this again because the small is a little tight under the arm. But it's a quick crochet once you get the pattern down.

Easy to follow directions, great for beginners or anyone who was scratching their heads on how to adapt old html codes to the new blogger!

Tibetian Lampshade

I've definitely been behind in posting all the crafts that I've been working on. Can't help it--I've been pretty busy at work and with weekly visits from friends. But I recently completed the lampshade in my room, so I thought I'd post it to show you the process.

I'm pretty happy with the finished product. It took me a long time to find trim (can't find a good cheap sewing store around here with interesting trim), but well worth it. All you need is a hot glue gun and you're good to go! The only change I'd make is to inset a different color on each panel, like a bright blue, so that it'd match the Tongka that's on my wall that my sister gave me.
